I just did the swap last saturday, and I still have the auto ECU in the car. I also runing both auto tranny axles at the current time only because my mechanic forgot to change it but to our surprise, it work with out any problems!!!!!! But friday I will swap the left side...
The ECU I will do later.

Thanks ghase, i was mostly worried about the ecu. And i'll wait to swap the axles later on also if the auto ones work.

the auto ecu won't effect anything, you'lll just have the CEL on all the time.
If you wanted to change the ecu, you would have to bring it to the dealership and have the keys reprogrammed.

Could be wrong about that, but surprised that none of the "maxi-experienced" guys on the org have piped in on that one, just several guys repeating what I think is bad info.
