3.5 head swap
#2
You'd only want to do that if you were going FI, since it would lower your compression ratio down to something like 8.8:1. You will not get any gains, but you would lose power. 3.5 cams in a 3.0 head would give you some gains.

asperos28, I know this is off of your topic, but I live in CT also and I'm interested in pricing out a 5sp swap. Who did it, and how much did they charge you? If you dont mind me asking.

well i might be having 3.5 pathfinder heads installed on to my 3.0 with the 00vi and supercharger setup, depending on cost and how fast i would have it done by. Ill have the car tuned with in a few weeks after that so then i would let you know how the dyno turns out.

You might as well install 3.5 pathy heads onto the 3.5 blocks and run a 00vi with it. That's the intended killer 3.5 setup in my opinion, and that's also where I'm heading. All I'm missing is the 00vi, and it's not a far reach at this moment.

well im not going to be putting in the 3.5 heads on the 3.0L ill just wait until i absolutly need more power then ill put the 3.5 swap with the pathfinder heads, possibly get the motor built alittle more. The cost of putting the heads in with the motor still in the car is too expensive to justify putting that in with possibly little gains.
