????

i got a 96 maxima and plan on dropping in a 3.5 motor with 5 speed trans....but my ??? is would it be possible for me to run a full 3.5 motor with out swapping it to a 3.0 timing chain???

nope. If by full you mean "non-hybrid, 3.0 ECU" like most people, it wont work because the 3.0 wont make sense of the position sensors.

The only way for a FULL 3.5 MOTOR SWAP(including 3.5 timin equipment) to work would be to rewire the 5.5gen ECU and harness into your car, and all the other work that it involves.

Yes ... please see the all-motor stickies. It is a common consensus that you are looking at a lot of work using the 3.5 ECU. Look for a thread started by me about it.

BTW: SE means Special Edition not Sports

I still believe it can be done if you use the '01 Pathfinder VTC and VTC cover. You'll still need an external controller if you choose to use the VTC, but you don't have to.
