3.5 in a 3rd gen

Hey I was wondering if a 3.5 would fit in a 3rd gen. Will the motor mounts and tranny bolt up or is it just not worth the trouble

The reason I ask cause my buddy has a 3rd gen with a blown motor he is willing to give away
