00VI- tuning required for 00 lower/injectors?
Well, gearing up to put in an 00VI (and rip out the MEVI), and spending all day at work reading up I've got a setup with 00 lower, fuel rail and injectors. Looking at Tatanko's GREAT setup comparison page, it looks like using the 00 lower and injectors requires "tuning". So, the question is, what exactly is required here- are we talking a timing advance or what?
Thanks all for your help. Searching didn't show up anything...

Thanks! So, I've got 3 choices:
1- 4th gen lower/rails/injectors
2- 00vi lower/rails/injectors, don't tune it
3- 00vi lower/rails/injectors, tune it
If I go with #3, I'll just go all out and put in a Greddy EU, which I've been debating doing anyway.
But if I don't, am I sacrificing a chunk of power just going with #1? How about #2 (and what other issues might I have with #2...)?

guess what you need a/f tuning with every single mod you install to get the best out of it.
for instance when i went from stock headers to ssautochrome headers there was significant flow change (butt-dyno feel) after i started messing with V-afc2 did i notice the difference in a/f. when i swapped the ssauto for hotshot headers the ssauto/00vi v-afc2 tune was working like **** with the hotshots/00vi, the a/f ratio was totally different at various rpms. because the flow and the amount of flow of air changed the ECU needs to be adjusted so the right mix of air and fuel is ignited throughout the rpm range, that's how you get maximum hp.
and i also have the dek lower/injectors.

You're not going to lose power doing the 4th lower instead of 00 lower. Thats what I'm doing and I know Pat did it as well. Yes you will gain more results with a v-afc2 but then gains shouldnt be much, if any, different using the 00 lower or 4th lower. At least that's what I've been told by some of the other guys.
