Fellow 3.5 swappers-- question
Fellow 3.5 swappers-- question
I figured I would get more readings here than general discussions. Last night I went to the drags only to find disappointment.... my clutch is gone!!
So I want to get some input on what you guys thought about ACT's 6 pad disc? I currently have the Heavy Duty pressure plate and the perfomance street disc. I'm pretty sure that I would go through the street disc right away if I buy that one again.
What i'm really trying to find out is if any of you have used the 6 pad disc and if you all think it would last?? I know it will be more of a harsh ride when it comes to take off, but I really need something that will grab good at the track.
Thanks in advance

Is that the price for the clutch disc alone, or does it also include the pressure plate?
As I received mine, it was disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, alignment tool, and guess what................... STICKERS!!!
lol. All shipped at the price listed there. Justin is easy to talk to and contact, get a hold of him on AIM and he'll walk you through it. Great guy to deal with

Well it turns out that my synchro's are probably shot! First gear doesnt stay in. I put it in first, give it a little gas and relieve the clutch, and the shifter pops out of 1st gear. It doesnt always do it, but its bound to do it more often. It looks like i'm gonna be getting another tranny... people around here are charging too much to rebuild. I'd rather just look for a Infiniti tranny. Question regarding that... I dont need to get the axles off of the I30 right... they should be the same right!?
I called the Infiniti and Nissan dealership to cross reference the part numbers and they both showed to be the same, whether its limited slip or not... well at least thats what they told me... anybody know for sure??
The I30's only came with limited slip differentials rgiht!?

Okay... sorry if I'm beating on this subject but I just want to make sure that I am buying the tranny with the limited slip.
So the I30t comes with the limtied slip differential right!?
Nope, some base model I30's came as a 5-speed without limited slip. The drivers side axle is definitly different between open and lsd

??
I read the thing.. and it doesnt specify exactly that ALL I30t's have limited slip.... and that was my question.
I read that some say they've used the I30t LSD axles.... so I am assuming all I30t's have LSD. Just want to make sure they ALL have it.... a simple yes or no would be nice.... Let me know if its too much of an inconvienance to say yes or no.
