eu install and tuning questions
i have had an eu waiting to be installed for months and now i finally have the time to do it. im going to make a plug and play harness like what goaliekeg did. i have a fried ecu for the male connector and 2 ecu plugs for the female connector. first, how do i remove the male connector from the ecu mother board w/o damaging it?
second, what are the type of pin connectors that are used on the ecu plug?
also, i know that i need to get a wideband, but im poor at the moment. can you get a decent tune using the o2 sensors, or would i be wasting my time?

You'll have to unsolder the connector off the board (use soldering iron and solder sucker etc)..
It's a waste of time trying to use the stock narrowband sensors to tune. They cannot tell you what your AFR is unless it's VERY close to stoich (14.7), which obviously you don't want under WOT.

If it needed to go back on another board though then different story.
