Enlarged MAF...

I'm interested to know more about the Bosch 82mm Rover/BMW MAF. can anyone help out? I realize that it'll allow more air in but the devil is in the details, so I'd like to know the following;

1) do i need to pull my maf sensor and swap it in or will the sensor that comes with it work fine?

2) what kind of gains/losses will i see if i swap just this piece out?

3) ECU tuning/relearn necessary for this to work out correctly?

4)what combination of intake mods seem to make this work best? My intent is to retain as much of the stock 'drop-in' filter as possible, and retain low-end torque while allowing higher-end breathing.

I know a TS ECU would be a great idea, so it's on my list, but do i need to note them that i have that put in?

sorry, I searched, and i only found one thread that mentioned this enlarged MAF on the .org and it concerned voltages whereas i can get that technical, I'm just looking to get an idea of what i might be getting into, and what potential can be had from it. I've tried PMing 2 members on this piece and I haven't gotten a response from either. I think that's pretty shotty to not help a fellow orger out

just to reiterate, before someone rails me about search, keep in mind that i searched and PM'd and never got what i was looking for.

It will read less air. Read my link for further information.
