quick question on 3.5 timing, please help
yes yes i know another 3.5 timing post..ive read a decent amount in threads and the fsm....but i need some clarification..
the right bank is mint (front of car)....all valves closed and all dowels/marks line up.. now the left back (closest to firewall)...when i line up the dowels to the top...cylinder 3 intake valves are open and cylinder 5 exhaust valves are open.... all the marks line up...but those valves are open....but when i set it so all the valves are closed...it goes to the 10 and 2 o clock position people reference a lot on this forum...so i come to you guys to ask for help. i dont have easy access to a digi cam, but if you can help me out with some pointers ill see what i can do about the pics. thanks guys. |
The valves don't all need to be closed for the timing to be on point. Who told you that?
BTW, the right bank is the one closest to the firewall. For future reference.... |
Its backwards like Nismology said, RH is the odd cylinders and LH is the even cylinders.
