OK i may a boo boo 9660rpms recorded

Well i went to the track tonight to try the car out on 9 psi. The best I can say for the it was a trap of 85mph in the 1/8 mile. Ok the last run I made was the run I stuck 3rd gear for first. Well after that happend I cut the car off because the oil light came on with check engine light too. The power steering belt flew off in the procese. Well I got the car back to the staging lanes and started looking around to see if I could see the sending unit hoping that the power steering may have flew off and broke it. But that wasnt the case. When I crank it the car has no oil pressure and their is a little noise in the timing case. Its not knocking.
So my first question is Im wondering If I replace the oil pump is the motor toast?
How many other have broke oil pumps and what was your out come?

Around 9500+ rpms those things begin to smash valves too. So even if the oil pump gets you in the clear, you'll want to to a compression check.

One other important item;

Buy an oil pump for a 3.5 motor. It will drop right in and give you more oil pressure. I know because I have one in my 96 I30.

To the OP, You don't need to post the same thing all over the forums.
