exhaust on 3.5 swap
To those that have done the 3.5 swap into a 4th gen, which exhaust are you using? Meaning what generation headers or what y-pipe are on your car currently ? I am asking because i am using headers from cattman for the 5.5 gen max on my 3.5 swap and im having trouble with fitment. The headers are perfect but the y-pipe doesnt line up with the actual headers and if i force it to line up, the exhaust is off-centered and hits the tunnel. The whole exhaust is also pushed back so it sticks out further then its supposed to be. Or is there something else that i am missing here ?

Have you tried contacting Brian directly? The 3.5 swap part of it does not apply. If you're having fitment issues with the 3.5 in there you'd be having issues with the 3.0 as well.

you should be using 4th gen parts, and you shouldn't have any figment problems unless the component itself was improperly made
the 5.5th gen header will fit onto the motor, how it will bot up to a 4th gen y-pipe (if thats what your doing) I'm not sure if it will work well.
an exhaust shop could help fix any problems your having.

Solution will be to either buy 4th gen parts, or to save time and money take it to an exhaust shop and have them cut and weld it to line up. Tell them to weld back on your flanged to keep everything a bolt up affair. Some shops friends have gone too just cut and weld everything as a solid piece.
