The 12 pt head stud kit # 202-4701 is listed at 314.25$us
The discounted price would be 274.25$
I need to find out how many stud there is in the kit since it's not specified. I'll give them a call monday.
The way I establish my pricing is I take the srp less my cost and divide that amount by 2 so basically I cut the apple in half, giving you half of my profit as a discount and the balance is for me.
Cheers

Gee I though he wanted 19 pieces of the 202-4701. How can you buy the 202-4701 for 155$ on e-bay when the dealer cost 233.99$
I cant find the L19 on the Arp price list, I only see L20/L24/L26/L28.
Do you happen to know to wich engine the L19 refers to ?

L19 is the material that the studs are made out of. I don't know how you can buy them for that cheap but they are there, go look for yourself.

You have a partial discount
There is no part # listed for L19 because it is a special order part.
If you were to order one L19 head stud set from ARP it would cost $1000+
If you were to Special order alot (100+)this would drop the price drastically. This is the reason why only 2-3 shops are "actual"arp L19 vendors.(injected performance, gtmotorsports) Which is the same reason why they sell for about $440The L19 Head studs you want are for the Vq35/37/possible38.
They are designed to hold over 25psi/1000whp
The standard arp studs are designed to hold estimated 15psi/500whp
I am in the process of having arp test the limit of the standard studs
I'll send you a PM later tonight since I dont have the PL with me. I'll make you a very good deal.
P.S: I just received the cam this morning, I should get the HR spring and stuff in the next few days as well as Stephen'sMax adaptor. I cant wait to start the DE-K build.
Talk you later.
Cheers

*edit* whats available for a 3.0? i didn't see anything on the site but i would almost assume the 3.5 stuff would work.

welcome to the world of small business. ebay is the enemy. you are buying at a jobber level discount vs. companies buying at a distributor level discount and selling directly to the public. a lot of times you won't even be able to match the larger companies because their discount is much deeper than yours. i have learned this first hand. gl.

I can do so much beside the best price. A small biz can do great things for customers that big one cant even think of.
What about dealing with someone who's honest and care about yourself, someone that is always there to help you, that will listen to your need and though, someone that's ready to do everything to give you the best service and shopping experience and make sure you are satisfy.
If that's worth nothing to you, then we are all in trouble because I believe 70% of our economy is driven true small business ( in Canada )
Your statement is partially true, but not 100%, otherwise we would all be dressing like moron's, eating junk food, driving pos car and foremost living in trailer park.
Dont get me wrong I understand what you are saying, but I believe there is a lot of people who prefer to deal with a smaller organization that will treat them the best way possible even if their price are higher.

i wasn't trying to put you down or discourage you, i was just sharing that i have recently learned this lesson as well. in case you didn't know/notice, i recently started a32shop.com thinking that 4th gen maxima owners needed a one-stop-shop for quality parts. while i hope you are correct about people preferring the serivice/comfort that comes with dealing with a small business, so far i have found that most people will follow the cheaper price. so much in fact, that i have shifted focus from reselling parts to developing new parts.

I was not pi$$ed at your comments not at all, sometime being small mean a lot of struggling but once customer discover the real value that's when they start changing their mind. Developing new products is certainly a better way to go in order to protect the margin as compare to selling commodity which can be very frustrating sometime.
Some customer will bring you down to your knee as they dont care to have you work for nothing, but one have to be smart and find their own way true.
Good luck.

Rod bolts are not the same, in fact the VQ30's are 'better' than the stock VQ35, hence why some upgrade (in the VQ35 realm) to the ARP units.
so what would be considered extreme? im planning a pretty major all-motor build from what i can tell, although i'm not an engine guru like you guys. looking at:
mevi
cams
headwork
internals (maybe slightly higher compression)

I will solve the oil pump problem with an external pump.
I have been doing some simulations(using lotus engine simulation), but still lacking some data so I would not trust the exact numbers. http://www.sm.luth.se/~johan_e/speedster/simulation.gif
Only half of the engine is modelled, the three graphs shows different cams.

Obviously the valve train will need a lot of work...
If I do some quick and very simplified calculations.
Assuming 10000rpm(way to much..) gives a maximum piston acceleration of roughly 5000G
the stock piston and conrod weight is 1.1kg = 11N.
The stock conrod bolt is 7mm at the weakest point => 77mm2 for both bolts
5000*11 / 77 gives a minimum required strength of 714N/mm2
the arp bolts can take >200000psi (http://www.arp-bolts.com/Tech/TechMetals.html) => 1400N/mm^2
If there are no upgraded bolts available I'll start by stress test the stock conrod bolts.
But it would have been easier to just exchange them..
Hey Johan, sorry to not have responded to your demand, it's been a while since I last visited this thread, I'm too busy working with the beast. Lol
I dont have my price list in front of me but once I'm back from work tonight I'll let you know how much tha ARP VQ30DE rod bolts cost.
Cheers
