Learning to read runfile help?

I just recently did some runfiles and I'm trying to learn how to read the runfiles but I don't have the manual to learn it. This is a plx device. Any help is useful.

What do you mean 'did' some runfiles?

DRFs?

I assume by your reference to 'PLX' you mean that you datalogged a few runs with your wideband.

If you don't have the manual, either google it or go to the manufacturer's web site.

Assuming you're using PLX logger:

You are going to want to monitor your Wideband Usage on the go, sitting down to read your data logging is going to be a very painful process and is going to really get you no where. Aside from the simple logging of this data, unless you have some form of Engine Management to adjust any Fuel Settings you are going to be reading useless information for the time being.

I tapped into my MAF/TPS/ECT/RPM/MPH/AFR, that's hardly useless, IMO. I've got an AFC, but it still helps a little (raw AFR 'tuning').

Your wideband is taped into all of those?

What I am saying is, unless you are able to monitor ALL of the factors you want on 1 graph, and view them as they all occurred. Otherwise you are only getting 1 piece of information, and as The Law stated, he wants to view his Wideband Logs, which the only thing he will really get from that is when he is not injecting any fuel, and the wideband will simply not log anything.

So, simply, until there is a form of engine management to give you an idea of when that 15.2 A/F was occurring, it is pointless to even want to look at.

Just trying to give some advice / helping hand so no time is wasted.

I’m using the same item as The Law has, and yup, I’m monitoring and am able to log all those on the same scale. So,

I got what you said earlier, no need for further clarification.

Me too.

Likewise:

Obviously the EMU/EMB is better for 'tuning' and logging, but with what I/we (The Law & me) is actually a very viable tool if used/set-up correctly. I also have UpRev for monitoring other items, but since I cannot get a wideband reading of my AFR using the Cipher, that's why I have the PLX.

If you have access to an old laptop that you can bring with you, you could even get a live readout like this, all colors/graphics are customizable.
