Just bolt one of those stopper things to the shaft and make a bracket out of sheet metal that holds the tps so that the stopper turns the tps as the throttle shaft turns.

Ya i think i got it. It was just getting the tps to turn cleanly and make sure it was lined up.

Do not be surprised (depending on how strong the mounting rig is) if the TPS moves around as you drive, thus giving faulty readings and making driving... "interesting" at best. Thats what happened with me. Got fed up at one point and sourced out a PathFinder TB. Made life alot easier.

Good luck with the swap! Sounds like you made some damn good progress there

It should be done tonight im hoping its just been hard tryin to do it between school and work. I got a pathfinder tb sittin here but it doesnt bolt up. How did you mount yours? I think i may have to get a machine shop to make a mounting plate unless someone makes one.

Yeah that's what you gotta do to mount the pathfinder tb, stephenmax might even have some ready to ship, don't know?

Also, as for the tps on the dbw throttle-body, most metal bracket set-ups I've seen seem sketchy to me, to much flex, I've only seen one person here post pics of a metal bracket set-up that I liked, can't remember who it was though. What I do is cut the entire round circular housing off the 3.0 tb, than I fabricate an entire arm out of jb stickweld, quicksteel, or equivalant so the circle sits above the linkage,I use the same stuff to put a tab on the shaft that will turn the tps, partially because I seem to always get TB's that never have the gold nub, some have it some don't. But what's nice about the way I do it is 1: It's SUPER solid (allthough fabricating it with the stickweld is an art) and 2: It allows for the tps to be turned in the slots for adjustment just like if it was stock.

However there are three upsides to the pftb, for starters the tps and linkage doesn't require a few hours worth of work. Cruise control for the win. And using the direct-mount IACV is also a huge plus.

Isn't the I/D a few mm smaller than the DBW unit?
