Exedy S1 and ES Motor Mount instaLL
This weekend I put in the Exedy stage 1 clutch in my car that i had for a little while. Also at the same time I installed the Energy Suspension motor mounts just because I had to take the cross member off anyway. Every-
thing went smooth,done in a few hours. While breaking it in i noticed that the idle would drop really low, like it would almost be sitting on the little pin near 0 RPMs but it will not stall, just kind of shudders for a second than idles at around 5-5500 RPMs. But it used to idle perfect at 6-700.
The problem will happen worst when I am in say second or third gear crusing,on the gas or no gas and than push the clutch in like to stop for a light. I almost feel the need to tap on the gas. Its really bothering me because my idle was perfect and the car would just never do that. Feels like when i had a bad MAF in a Camaro.
But the clutch feels great and i can tell it will be a beast once i can really play with it. It has not too hard of a pedal and a low agressive grab. And the mounts feel great, they make the shifting polyeurethane solid. I do notice a little vibration, most when I start the car up. All i need now it the B&M short throw to tie everything together. Im very happy with both of these upgrades but the idle dipping problem is killing me. Anyone with help i would like to thank in advance...............................
