OOvi question

hi there.

i'm trying to work out if my 00vi is broken or not.

the first time i supplied the VIAS with +12v and ground, the actuator moved a little bit (not the full range i was expected) the next time i supplied power it didn't move at all. however i did hear the click, when i suck on the nipple it actuates the VIAS without a problem.

i'm wondering, is this because it needs to be "recharged" with vaccumme or something? is anything wrong. and where are the 2 O-rings that i keep hearing about "needing to be replaced", is this behind the brass plate that the nipple comes out of? or is this when you undo the 4 "soft" screws and its the bit with the spring in it (i replaced the o-ring there, but i could only find the 1)

have you checked your cup inside the VIAS? it should not be able to rotate independently of the shaft. maybe it came loose and broken off or something.
JB weld it.

The same thing happened to me when I was testing mine to make sure it worked. I would touch the battery in the car with the wire to the vias and after doing a couple of times it would just stop moving completely. Once I got it hooked up to the car with the car running it worked just fine.

just a suggestion

i would jb weld it before you do the swap. i didnt do it before the swap and i had to take it all back off and jb weld it. it is much easier doing off the car vs on the car. cause it will more than likely go bad on you in time
