So before tearing things apart I decided to try and figure out where exactly the leak is coming from. I believe it is the 2 O-rings in the upper oil pan. I checked the timing cover and it looks sealed pretty good. I shot some video of the leak so maybe you can see something I dont.

I love how it starts every single time with no problem.

Time consuming, but should be an easy fix over the weekend.

Wow that thing is pissing.

I have a leak as well but not that bad. Im for sure that the VTC solenoid is leaking on me since i dont have a gasket for it but i have it all gooped up with rtv. I know i have one on the lower pan as well .

But yeah it does look like its coming from your upper pan.(with some pressure obviously)

Out of curiousity did you lubed up the o-rings before you installed them? Or maybe they got pinched when putting on the upper. Hell i pinched my dip stick when i put mine on but that was totally a dumb **** mistake by me lol

The crazy thing is I never removed the oil pan because I was afraid it would leak if I did.

My 4th gen's oil pan is leaking in the same place, but not nearly as much as this one is. I've never yet touched my oil pan other than to change the oil and it just decided to let loose. It really makes a mess under there too Time to break out the Engine Degreaser while you're fixing it. Nice job with the swap and the pictures, enjoy!

SO I was missing the center o-ring on the block. If you go back through my pics you'll see the one on the left is there but the center one is missing. I bought a new one from the dealer and installed it. Now we are putting the gasket back on and bolting everything back up. Also we dropped the oil pan this time just to be safe.

Update:Track Times

So we took the car to the track with plans NOT to run it but she just couldnt help herself and did anyway. We checked the codes the day we finished the swap and had 12 many of which was caused by a plug on the tranny being upside down which was fixed before we went to the track. I know the knock sensor harness is broken and will be fixed today. She ended up running 3 times and got a best of 15.508@90mph. This was with a 2.3 60' and stock cat and catback. From experience I know the knock sensor added a full second to my times so we will be in the 14's soon. Also a 2.1 60 should knock another 4 tenths off but we'll see.

LOL. I took mine out after I drove hers and FAIL smh. My transmission feels better though lol.

Now we have the usual swap codes EGR and EVAP. We'll probably be at the junkyard this weekend looking for a 95 auto ECU. Cant wait to get this thing dynoed.

Yup stock cat and catback. We're very happy with results and with that HP we should be able to hit 13's.
