Okay heres the deal. I told myself id get the car 100% before i do anything else to it. winter time is the best time so im trying to figure out whats up with the mevi.

It activates in first gear..ive tried easing into the throttle in 2nd, totally letting the vacuum build up before punching it in second, ive tried 1-2 sprints, it only activates in first, but no other gear. The RPM switch and control solenoid have a good ground and power source. The RPM switch wire is tapped directly off the ecu, the vacuum lines are hooked up correctly.

I just dont know what i should go about. I figure it cant be the RPM switch, as it does activate. The Control solenoid i dont know, it does activate, one could presume it also works. I dont know about the vacuum lines, does anyone use clamps on them? I dont have them, but i did not for see it being a problem. With the car running the vacuum lines on pretty difficult to get off especially on the vacuum canister.

I dont know why but ive had nothing but problems with this mevi, it worked good for ~5 months till i blew my engine, put in a new one and its still not working properly.

Not sure if its time for an 00vi.
