Two I/J Maps Open at Same time= problems?
Two I/J Maps Open at Same time= problems?
ok, i figured if i could open both EU i/j maps and set each one for a different range of rpms (one set for 3k to 5500, the other from 5500 to 7200) i would get more tuning points, etc. is this not a good thing/possible to do? when i did this, the car leaned out VERYYYYY bad, and would barely accelerate so i let out. The a/f curve spiked like crazy up and down into the 20s and 10s and hesitated like crazy. when we took one of the maps away, and put everything back to normal the car drove fine again. what happened there?

You also didnt mention at what range it leans out. Is it leaning out right from 3K or from the transition point between the two maps?
right, i understand that it will stack figures. but this was different. it leaned out and rich spiked back and forth. for example, it leaned to 20 at 3400, then richened to 10 at 3800, then leaned to 20 again at 4200, and so on. (those arent exact numbers but u get the point.) this happened from the moment i hit the gas at 2500 rpms and i let off after a few seconds after i realized what was going on and the graph went crazy. the graph went up and down. it basically felt like a horrible hesitation. or like when u run out of gas and the car just bucks. my two maps were on totally different ranges. one from 3000 or so up to 5500, the other from 5700 on. so they werent overlapping.
