well you just spent a grand slapping parts on a car and now it's been towed to an auto-mechanic's shop (where your about to foot another bill). If the sign isn't clear now...it may never be.

Are you 100% sure that this flywheel is for a FWD application?

yes, it is for a fwd application.

i have bad news, basically the mechanic wasted my time. so i guess im just going to tackle the job myself. i just ordered a oem flywheel. when i get the fidanza flywheel off i will compare it with the oem flywheel. I will get the measurements and pictures of the two.

............

What is there to write a story about? Just say what solved the problem. Are you still using a lightweight flywheel, or a stock one? I just installed a lightweight flywheel in my car, but I think the stock one is probably more use friendly as far as learning to drive goes.

Btw, my name is Chris.

i dont know what you did to fix it, but if the timing ring has any sort of dent or deformation on it, you will get the exact symptoms you described

actually yea the timing ring looked a lil warped when i was comparing the stock flywheel to the fidanza

but i know half my problem was not having the reinforcement ring on, without researching, i just thought it was used only for the auto flex plate. so when i purchased the stock flywheel, i saw a reinforcement ring on the back of the flywheel(welded on)

no, i'll call you raverpx.

I am using the Fidanza lightweight flywheel. All I had to do was swap the timing ring though. waiting for some other things before I can drive the car.
