Pathy TB Questions

I'm contemplating doing a 3" intake/MAF housing and Pathfinder throttle body and I have a few questions.

- What year Pathfinders can I take the TB off of?
- Can I use the 5th gen IACV & TPS?
- I'll need an adapter plate, I think StephenMax makes them and need to have it port-matched, correct?

Is there anything else I'm forgetting for this swap?

Thanks

Good question. I know they are good on 4th gens, but don't we have larger TB's then 4th gens already making the Pathy diameter minimal? Hard to ssay though. Not too much 5.0 info out there.

I'm not sure.

But I'm wondering because my IACV is showing signs death on the horizon and I want to do a 3" MAF housing sometime so I figure if I could do it all at once I could enjoy some nice gains from the BBMAF/TB and more consistent idle from a new IACV.

How's your car coming TDotMax?

excuse me?

i ran a 5th TB and its the same as a 4th.
the correct years are 2001-2002 i believe, but there are 2 manufactures for the 2002 year, i just picked the earlier model
yes i believe you can use your iacv, us 4th geners run into fitment issues but a hacksaw and a deleted egr take care of that problem.

also, you can drill your pathy to fit, like stockish, its less ugly than that big block adapter plate.

but im just speaking as a 4th genner that had a 5th and a pathy. so i dont know about your fitment problems.

i need to get on adapting my MAF, but im scared ill damage it and have to wait to get a new one

How's your car coming TDotMax?
Garage is full of parts and wife is complaining lol. But I have the exhaust and NWP spacers to install. Just waiting on my Fastcat from Brian.

The 3" custom MAF I have is being customized by the guy who made it since he originally made it for a 5.5. Also he recommends a velocity stack. Since the above poster is mentioning the 5.0 TB is the saem as the 4th gen then it should work. I'll look into this now lol where does it stop.

But hopefully fast as I have emissions next month to do.

Whats up with the EU??? Still waiting on Kyle??

also

vq30=60mm TB(in most cases)
vq35=70mm TB

I believe stephanmax will do a TB adapter from 00VI to PFTB. But like stated before it can be drilled and i believe instead of using a gasket RTV was used. I was about to do it on my 3.5 till she started knocking. I still have my PFTB just sitting here

And yes 2001-2002 will work. Just make sure before ordering it is NOT a Drive-by-wire TB.

Also the tps and ivac off the PFTB will work with the 4th gen. I would assume that it would work on the 5th.

Still waiting on Kyle. He's taking his sweet time over there

Yeah, the DBW was what I was concerned about. Still need to figure out if 5th gen IACV will work on a PFTB.

2000 pathfinder = VG = smaller TB.

The years you want are 2001-2002. Apparently some late 2000's were also 70mm but this hasn't been confirmed. '03 is when it went DBW.

Well I hope after drilling it's all plug and play to avoid an adaptor plate. Going shopping for one now

Any luck locating one? I'm having a hard time finding one and my BBMAF should be ready within the next week or so, was hoping to have it all put together.
