Finally!

Bump!
I have an Update. As far as street tuning goes I'm pretty happy with the way the car is setup.
But can some of the EU wizards on the board give me some insight with the acceleration maps for I/J and IGN? I want to see if I can improve throttle response with these maps. I've messed around with adding a little bit of timing (~1-2 degrees) and between 0.5-0.7 ms of injector pulsewidth at different points of throttle opening rate vs. RPM. I've noticed some improvements but I'd like to optimize it as much as I can.
Does anyone have any pointers for this?

Finally got it installed and pulled the maps off of there...I looked at them, but I have a feeling they aren't the right maps...
Anywho, here's the download link.

UPDATE.
So did some tuning as per Dandy's recommendations with the IGN timing and wow, the car feels awesome.
I've run into another issue, I'm having some issues with the inconsistency of the raised rev limiter. It'll exceed 6,500 now problem in 1st and 2nd gear but in 3rd (the most fun ) it feels like it's hitting a brick wall at 6,500 sometimes. I've datalogged it and the AFR is at 10:1 during this time (plenty of fuel -- 12.xx ms injector pulse at 6400 rpm), has anyone ever experienced this?
Something tells me my ignition timing could be the issue but my datalogger is showing the a similar timing curve as to when the raised limiter works. Some other times it will go past without issue.
Does anyone have any insight on this?

I spoke to Dandy and essentially what he told me was that I need to work on a more progressive ramp up of injector pulse in order to get over the limiter in higher gears.
My interpretation is that since there's more inertia in the higher gears you need to be able to ramp up injector pulse earlier to overcome the limiter.
I haven't messed around with it, finals just got over and it's snowy and nasty here too so the tune is gonna stay the way it is for the time being.
TDotMax, do you have any info on the cams that are in your engine right now? I'm probably gonna get a set of RevUps but I'd like to know what your cam specs are for comparison.

At 10:1 afr my car hits the brick wall too. I think 10:1 is just too rich, even for boost.

Dandy's AFR dips to like 11s when crossing into the red, I'll be keeping that in mind.

I'm in the same boat as you. Had some exams and weather is crap now, a lot went on the back burner. Have my PFTB, NWP Spacers and 3" MAF to install but got 2 bank1 O2's to replace first in the spring before playing again and now rust is showing it's ugly face.

They are JDM VQ35's I belive non-revup but similar spec to S1 cams.

They're JWT S1 (VQ35) knockoffs.
Lift: 10.89mm
Duration: 260 deg
Installed straight up in a VQ35 the base timing would have been INT/EXH 123/112. I installed mine at 119/112 on the VQ30.
Passing the rev limiter is just an iterative exercise to find the best combination of rpm, fuel to add in, and how quickly to ramp it back to normal post-cut etc. I had mine set to dump fuel at 6400, 6450 was too late. Going from memory here but my AFR would have been about 12.8-13.0 at the cut but with the fuel dump I think it hit 11's momentarily before coming back up a few hundred rpm later.

Awesome, thanks. I'm going with the RevUps that have 12* less duration and 0.3x mm less lift. You ran the dowels on your adapters 178* degrees apart, correct?

I had my sprockets machined instead of buying adapters but yes it was 178.

Updates. I'm prepping the car for dyno soon.
For those who are running the EU software with a raised limiter, I am using the following fuel map in order to extend revs. The problem is, I can get past the limiter in first and second but in third it just won't go past, so I'm looking to redo the fueling on that portion of the map.
I have two pictures, my current fuel table and a datalog of me hitting the stock rev limit.
Link for Datalog
If you have EU let me know what you did to get the revs into the red in 3rd?

You have too much fuel at 6450 pull 3.00 ms dont have all that fuel at 6450 just take away fuel at 6450 (dont add any fuel at all at 6450)and add 9.0 at 6500 and on remember at 6450 ecu ill still adding fuel at the fuel cut ecu is putting out 1.2 or 1.1 ms of fuel and on top of what you putting will cause too much fuel (stumbling) so the ecu will pull the timing look at the data log on the eu see what the ecu is putting out at 6450 and 6500 rpms thats the problem ive been playing with the eu and managed to bypass rev limiter in evey gear on my 99 max got it pretty smooth now 11.7 at 6500 little to rich i notice when i added fuel at 6400 couldnt get past the stock limiter remember the higher the gear the more fuel the ecu adds because of the engine load so by you adding all the fuel at 6450 the car will stumble like hell in the higher gear ( excess fuel) give it a shot let me know
Wanna email me your map?
#70
No just make sure at 6450 you have that rpm set at -3ms and at 6500-6600 9.5ms or 10 ms then you can get past it in every gear just from there you mess with it until you reach the smoothest level as possible at 6450 its carring over to 6500 rpms ecu is adding fuel still at this point so at 6450 your adding 11.6 the 50 rpms later another 11.6 will make total over 15 ms causing the stumble 6450 -3ms 6500 9.5-10ms 6600 10ms 6700 10ms ect keep them little close your na if im correct so you dont need alot of fuel after you past the stock fuel cut depending on your a/f

you need to datalog with the eu look at the fuel through the graph

Just the stock ones from an 2003 350z which are the same vq35de in other cars but i can say its a difference over the dek cams from 5000 rpms to 7300 day and night doesnt choke like the dek stock ones just keep pulling hard all the way to the redline
you need to datalog with the eu look at the fuel through the graph

Can I email you the datalog of the stock rev limit and get your suggestions? I followed your advice and the DandyMax writeup, got it nice and smooth in 1st and 2nd gears but 3rd cuts out like a stock rev limiter

That sounds awesome man, I'm looking at getting a set of RevUps for my DEK.
