Idle issues in VI00 swap in 95 maxima

I did a 00VI swap in a 95 maxima and the idle would not go under 1500rpm. This is the first 95 maxima with the 1 plug on the TPS sensor instead of 2 plugs. Everyone is saying this may have something to do with it but I am lost at this point.

I added the IACV plate from Stephen max and it still idles at 1500. I tried it would the IACV attached and the same thing.

Any ideas why the idle would not go down? The car drive and pulls great but the idle would not go down HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

You mean 00VI?

Have you checked the TPS adjustment? Looked for vacuum leaks? Any codes?

What TB are you using? Is the FITV operating properly?

TPS is adjusted using a Ohm-meter to 500ohms. You need it to calibrate. Did you adjust via the IACV adjustment screw?

Did the previous owner mess with the Throttle Body set screw? Its what adjusts the butterfly plate position. If this was a used 00vi, they might have adjusted it previously. Check to see if the red paint (loc tite) on that adjustment screw/nut is not broken.

You twist it. There's a dial in the inside thats pushed as it is twisted. (note the 2 screws and how the black plastic screw holes have extra movement space on the TPS) You have to twist it until it reads 550~ohms and lock it into place.

ALSO the TB might not be calibrated just get a 8mm socket and a screw driver and turn down the idel thats how i fixed it and didnt have a prob ever since!
