CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO REBUILD A 96 MAXIMA WITH 184,XXX MILES??

 

I have no clue myself, depends on the shop or parts, if you plan on doing it yourself. I'm not quite as advanced as these all motor fellas but I went the low mile engine route and pulled the old and dropped in the 'new' in 2 days, including all disassembly and reassembly by myself (had help w/the hoist of course).

You can find a low mile engine for well under $1k, probably closer to $400-750....

this is not advanced performance, so I'm locking it.

to answer your question, it will cost way more than swapping in a lower mileage engine. do that.

also, stop using your caps lock.
