VQ35DE + 6 Speed swap Questions.
So I am about to get an amazing deal on a vq35de and a 6 speed spec v tranny with maxima bell housing on it. I will post the email saying what comes with and I need to know what else I will need to complete the swap. Ive read the vq35 swap many times but I would like to be 100% sure first.
-the engine vq35de (was 2002),
-6spd manual tranny with new syncros and a 4.12 final drive from a sentra spec V (03 maxima, and 03 spec V combination done professionally for $1800)
-ecu (and a couple part’s harnesses) off a 6spd manual 03 maxima
-starter for 6spd tranny
-power steering and brackets
-alternator and brackets,
-rails and injectors if I still have them (should have atleast the injectors),
-stainless steel performance headers (ss autochrome),
-2x throttle bodies,
-new 3.5L engine cover,
-coil packs,
-extra hard water lines (were about 150 a piece),
-extra intake and exhaust manifold gaskets,
-belts,
-a couple extra random sensors,
-spec stage 3 clutch (new) ($515),
-spec lightweight flywheel (new)($440) and alignment tool,
-mass air flow sensor,
-new pack of 50’ black jegs exhaust header wrap
-and whatever else I can find around my garage that I ripped off scrapped maximas over the past 5 years. I might even have an underdrive pulley but I have to check if its for a maxima for the VQ.
and the tranny has a limited slip helical diff., that’s why it has the spec-v gearing. Your rpm’s on the highway will be about 300 higher then a maxima final drive, but it keeps the engine in the power band/torque curve longer at highway speeds (which is why I did it)
You can have all that stuff for $1700, that’s only about $4800 less then what I paid for everything (man that makes me hate cars! Jk) I’d rather just sell it all and clean out my garage
Now thats a pretty killer deal. What else do I need to make sure I should buy it??

Im not going to go through with the swap, even though it was a killer deal, I dont have the space, or time to do such a swap and money since I would have to purchase another car to get to and from work.

Even if he did get all that he still needs the nats igniter egas petal ignition key and dash harness to complete his swap. I'm in the process of doing a complete 3.5 6spd in my 4th gen. It's not going to be easy but it will definatly be worth it in the end. I will document everything I do and pictures to make it simple to follow. I do have to say that he missed one great deal on all those parts!!
