It be nice to quantify the added flow using the MAF g/cc, for comparison reasons.

Nice, have fun with it... haha. Mine will be tested with stock cams at the 1/8th mile track, and with aftermarket cams on a dyno.

Should have taken pics of the porting and smoothing you did while it was apart before the welding!

I take it you didn't get any pictures of the interior of the manifold when you were cleaning it up?

im sorry for the crappy pics, im uploading some more up right now.......i tries it out today, but i gotta go back and bend so intake tubing, kinda ran into a clearance issue, but so far the pics on there are just pics of it bein welded.......but i will try to get some more 2moro, i was in a huge rush cause i had couple air leaks that i had to seal and high school dont give that much wiggle room.....still gotta a lot of fine tuning left, but i should have the new intake portion done 2moro, then im goin to take more pics and sadlly enough didnt have a chance to really try it out cause southern ohio SUCKKKSSSSS and its starting to flood..........so hopefully next week ill will do some testing.......wish i had a way to tune my car though to get the full gains out of it

Not to hurt any feelings, but this project did crop up after my SSIM theory thread which was initially about putting a new elbow on the SSIM.

Looks pretty good, but the TB seems to be pointing right into the brake jumble. Were you unable to bend the pipe further and get it aiming the same direction it was stock?

The inside looks a little rough from those pics. Could have spent the time and gotten it perfect while you had the intake sawed in half since that's the whole reason you cut it in the first place.

i smoothed everything down on the inside with 320 grit...., but yeah it is where the brake lines are......but i got enough room to bend a peice of intake tubing, but if all else fails ill take it off and re angle the elbow again.....but sorry sparks for stealing your idea, just felt like experimenting with the supplies i had laying around, if i can get my hands on another im, then i will most def re do it, cause this thing was a huge experiment, and i believe that i can improve upon my design by a lot more.......its what i did for my senior project in high school and it has served it purpose well so far, but so far today was a field test.....if i got school 2moro then i will work out the lil problems in it....like the whole elbow almost hitting the brake lines. and a few small leaks..

well compared to my old ssim with no tune it feels pretty good, definate hp increase, i still think i need to get a eu with a wide band to get the full effects of this.....heres some picks of it on the car http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...s/p9500363.jpg

http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/...s/p9500364.jpg

hopes this helps with the pics, if it wasnt still raining i would go for some more wot runs, but like i stated i still on a stock tune. but im goin to get my wideband and eu after i get my headers on
