LSD swap issue question

Hope someone has the answer. I bought an LSD gearbox from a 99 SEL Maxima with all options. I took the drivers side axle as I thought I could use the passenger side axle from my non-lsd but the gear oil leaks out.

Does anyone know if the LSD passenger axle spline is bigger from the 99 SEL that the non-LSD axle would not work? Can I use an automatic axle as they are bigger than the manual axle?

all you need to do is change the driver side axle if the passenger side is leaking it would have to be the axle seal because you dont need to change that axle

Sometimes the seal is damaged when removing or inserting the axle into the transmission. You can get this seal at the stealership for like $15 or like $5 at Idiotzone, Napa, etc.

If it STILL leaks or starts leaking soon after, you have blown differential carrier bearings.

The VLSD tranny is a waste of money IMAO. The discs and fluid break down inside the differential and then it soon becomes an open differential.
