5th gen VLSD transmission in a 4th gen

This might seem like a stupid question but, I have a "5th gen" VLSD transmission, and it wont fit. As far as i know the VQ30 transmissions are all the same across the board. Here is the story:

I got the trans in the car with the motor on sunday i didnt notice this because i was not under the car but i went to go connect the just now i notice the shift linkage was straddling the sway bar. So i thought i just made a mistake i got the hoist took the mount off got the linkage off the swaybar tried to raise the thing back mount. And it happened again, it pushed the transmission and motor foward and just slipped back over the sway bar.

Im using a all 4th gen stuff except for the transmission. I have a hunch this is a Sentra or G20s transmission with a swapped clutch plate. But im double checking first.
