Is there a way to add an external trans cooler to the automatic trannyaw55-51?

I'm in the middle of rebuilding the transmission, and I would like to add an external cooler as we all know heat is the major enemy of automatic transmission.

Problem is, that since this is a water cooled tranny I don't know where to tap into the transmission for pressurized fluid.

Here is my trans. You can see the rubber water cooling hose's in the picture.

For the last two days I have been rebuilding the 5 speed auto transmission from my 05 Nissan Altima SE-R.

Problem is the transmission is water cooled by this little thing on the side of the transmission.

Its a good design, just not big enough IMO, as the fluid was very burned. Also, just like on the Honda Accord there isn't a trans filter. Just tiny little screened cups here, and there with no way to change them unless you rebuild the whole trans.

Here is the rear cover of the transmission. If you look at the bolt the arrows are pointing these are pressure lines used for testing.

I need to know where I can tap into so I can run a bigger fluid cooler an external filter. Any idea's?

This should be something for all Maxima's with this type of transmissions to think about doing [running a bigger external cooler, and changeable filter]

I finally figured it out, and now I will have both the water, and air cooler, not to mention a replaceable filter.

Thanks to all who tried to help.
