I have no use for it. I have alot of JL equiptment for sale, as well as other items. Everything is brand new. To make it a little simplier I am a dealer and do this for a living. I dont want anyone to think that I robbed a truck or something.

BTW the people here on the Org that know me, can verify that I am very LEGIT.

Don (Pearl96Max) does the audio stuff for a living (and is very good at it). You can always count on him to give the you best price at all times. Even when you see deeply discounted prices online, you never know where they're coming from. With Don, he'll always stand behind the products he sells/installs.

Generally this subs takes up little space (for the size of it). For the exact specs, please see JLs website...

http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/pdfs/12W7_DS.pdf

That should bring you right to the PDF of the exact specs for it.

Be warned this speaker takes ALOT of power !!

Price has been adjusted. Im just feeling all warm and fuzzy inside today from the support of the fellow Org members.

PS...Hey Dave dont tell JL on me. These people are ALL my friends that just live far away.

Well thats how I justify shipping anyway.

JL12W3

Any deals on a 12" W3? I want that W7, but don't have the money for it, plus I don't want to bump that loud. I figure a W3 is sufficient for what I want, considering an Alpine Type-R as well.

Is that $150 shipped? What about the 12W3v2? Or is that for a W3v2? Just checked jlaudio.com, and they don't have the W3 in 12" only the W3v2. Is this right?

Maximadave, what was your price, $159?

How much does a 12W6 run? 12W6v2? The W6 can work with a smaller box than the W3 right? If that's the case, I may be considering that.

Sorry for the continuous questions, I'm just curious and I want to get the best in a decent price range.

I am sorry, but if you already got a price from MaximaDave, he is who you would have to deal with on this. Im not trying to push you away, or not sell to you, but I just dont like steppin on toes. If for whatever reason you guys dont make a transaction, then by all means Im here. Again it is not a "brush off", its just respect for others. I hope you understand.

Yes I deal with the Infinity basslinks as well. I dont get that great of a price from Infinity, but I do get 'em.

I had no deal going with maximadave... I just asked him for a price check just like I'm doing with you. Plus, that was for a 12W3. I'm asking you about a 12W3v2, W6, and W6v2 because you brought up the W6, now it is another one for consideration. I also asked about box sizes, the W6 can use a smaller box than the W3 right?

I apologize for the misunderstanding. The W6 and the W3 use generally close to the same box sizes, with the W6 having the ability to go into a slightly smaller one if needed. The price on the W6 would be about $190. Please dont quote me on that as it is late Saturday night, and I dont have a definate price in front of me.

Amps

Since we're all asking prices whats the best you can do for a JL 250/1 or a 300/2 amp, I'm just powering 1 sub for now but may go to 2 in the future.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

The 250/1 would run ya $269 and the 300/2 at $329. If you would be using this to power a sub , I strongly recomend the 250/1 over the 300/2. The 300/2 is a class A/B amp made for running highs. Where as the 250/1 is a class D mono amp with the sole purpose of running subs.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. One 12" sub for now, maybe two later. Yeah, I was told to get a 250/1 amp too for what I was doing, was told it would be good for one 12" and for two as well. My question is, would two 12" subs in separate boxes be the same as two in a single box?

Pretty much yes, being that boxes, when made are chambered. This seperates the two speakers anyway.

don - i'm shopping for a sub and i'm currently looking at the 12w7, idmax 12 and adire brahma 12. i plan to power one 12" with my kicker kx 600.1 (birth sheet says it puts out 700watts). will that be enough to power any of the 3? which one would you recommend (not from a retailer point of view )

Well I dont sell at retail, so it wouldnt be for profits.

I would have to say the W7 or the IDmax. Personally the W7. I cannot speak for the Brahma, only because Ive never heard one personally. I have heard alot of good things tho. Nothing negative for them from me.
