Where did the sub go?

Even if it is not in the shot.. it looks a hell of a lot better than the fire hazard you had before! :-) great job!

thanks everyone

We experienced minor technical difficulties with the sub so we took it out. Hopefully by end of week we'll know what to put next to the amp.

Like AnGe said....technical difficulties

Cant decide to keep the Basslink OR an amp and a Diamond Audio 12.
Any feedback on that?

BTW thanks for the comments guys, we were going for the clean and simple look in the trunk.

The Basslink would look neater sitting next to the Rockford amp, but the 12" sub would hit harder . . . but I like to FEEL bass . . . don't know what Ange's preference is as regards SQ

Throw in the 12"/amp. I was actually giving you a few days of rest

Technical difficulties seem like the name of the game for this summer. Cattman gave me the wrong tubing on the upper CAI pipe... otherwise you'd have your Stealin' intake in by now. Waiting for him to send me the replacement hose (correct size).

Which would look better? That is easy. A 12" DA will look magnitudes better than the baby infinity. And give you serios low end. Let Don know, I may have some barely used MacDaddy 12", dual 4 ohm voice coils for sale. I am just waiting on getting a compass that can draw a circle more than 13 inches diameter to decide for sure.

Hey James, I already have the 12, its just parting with it thats hard, with an amp nonetheless, just to replace a basslink....
Im thinkin of maybe a Memphis 250D or JL 250/1

Of course you already have them Don. I know that. But my subs can be had for less than your cost. Even if you get DA equipment for well below retail, I don't have to worry about dealer cost, and other issues. I already paid near retail. Any amount I can get for a single or both of them is better than letting them continue to sit around unused.

We're going with Memphis 250/D amp to power the DA sub Don's got.

What kind of power does that amp have into two ohms (dual 4 ohm coils parallel)? And Don, what type of enclosure are you planning?

point it towards the "back" of the trunk. I went through what you are going through now.. it looks cool when you fold down the seat but it basses better when pointed back. Put something else there.. like crossover, cap, or distribution block.

The front speakers are the most important of all the speakers. All the others are accessories. So, yes it makes a big difference.

The amps power is 250 watts. The enclosure is 1sq ft sealed.

Should your amps be that close to the sub? Maybe if the amps were on the side it would better?

Better looking? Nah, I'm just wondering it would knock something loose if the bass is turned up high enough?

oh no.. not at all.
The amps are mounted on tight and was given just enough spacing for the sub output when the bass is up. The bass output isn't the annoying type that rattles every other part of the car. The bass is tight and rounded, just perfect for my taste. Again, Don did an awesome job!
