limited Infinity Basslink extension?

I've had my Basslink installed for a week now. For those that don't know, it's an inexpensive, powered 10" subwoofer. Overall, I am quite pleased with it but find it lacking in extension. I'm not talking strictly SPL's, I'm talking extension down to 20Hz like it says on the box. I have adjusted the position of the sub slightly but could not get much of anything below 40Hz or so. Right now, it sits corner-loaded on the driver side rear of the trunk, vertically mounted. I'm using the 80Hz crossover of the headunit with a high pass of 80Hz to the main speakers as well. Gain is set on 0. Bass boost -1. I am using a Radio Shack SPL meter and a bass test track on CD. Bass is good from crossover 200Hz down to 40Hz, but is -10db or more for 32.5Hz, 25Hz, and 20Hz. Also, i don't want sub 40Hz output if 40-80Hz is jacked up way too high.

Is anyone getting more deeper extension from their basslink or is this about it?
