will 6x9's fit?

I have a 97SE, non-bose car-it came from the factory with 6.5's but will 6x9's fit? what kind of modifications will i have to do to make them fit? will they fit at all?

Thanks,
Mike

Why???????? Why?????????? Why not put 6.5's in?

But can they fit...Yeah, you need to make a new mount maybe a new grill, and cut some metel

all you need is some right and left angled tin snips and alot of Dynamat and of course the new grills

when i did the conversion i re-carpeted the entire rear deck to match my seats better and shaved those nasty looking vents too! I wound up using 2 rolls of dynamat extreme on the top of the deck(where the speakers sit) and underneath the deck lid too. Now i have litterally NO rattles any where back there.

thanks so much man-do you think those blaupunkt overdrives will sound sweet? They are bi ampable speakers that you can add an amp seperately to the woofer-what do you think

i dont suggest rear speakers at all, but if youre gonna do it, at least get some decent 6.5's...they sound better than 6x9's.
