I think it's kind of like a thermometer with the mercury, if you bump it, it makes contact...

just had to comment on your car, its a beauty, I love that body kit, but I think that there is possible a metal to metal contact that when the sensor is bumped its makes contact or something along those lines not really shure

the most common shock sensors from DEI are pretty nifty.theyre encased in a 1 1/4" x 1" x 3/4" plastic clear box and inside you'll see a buncha transistors resisitors whatever..but the main component is a Magnet wrapped in rubber which is suspended in the air by two posts. Imagine a Hammock between 2 trees. Now In the shock sensor there is a magnet (or some other metal) sitting about 1/4" away from the magnet thats in the air. Bascially if the suspended magnet shakes it'll pick it up as a "shock". Imagine a the hammock shaking in the wind and the ground sensing it. Hmmm....i hope that kinda makes it clear.....sorta...i tried my best to explain it. Oh sorry about yoru tweeter rings yo....I'll send them out MONDAY! PROMPTLY!
