faulty bose volume switch (98) question

ive asked about this in 4th gen forums before but i was wondering if you guys have had a problem with the volume control not responding correctly. i was trying to live with it but its annoying and kind of bad because sometimes itll jus start going louder and louder til its blasting unhealthy.
sometimes ill try to get louder and it goes all the way down, wtf.
if you havent had this problem, do you know what it could be? thanks

Thanks for the PM about this!! You rock! To answer your question, you can buy canned air from stores like Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc. It's in the computer section. It's used for blowing out dust & crumbs from keyboards. The can comes with a straw 3-5"that plugs into the spray nozzle (just like you'd see with WD-40). Let me know how things turn out for you! I'm going to try later tonight.

Did you pull off the volume know to blow the air? Or did you just aim the end of the straw under the base of the ****?

TIA
