If I have bose in my 96, what else will work?

There are too many things searching. I just need a quick answer. I have a 96 GLE with Bose and the damn CD player doesn't work anymore. Will any aftermarket headunit fit in my car with the wood trim and such, you know, without removing it forever? also, What part do I need to bypass the factory amps on the speakers? I really appreciate your help, thanks.

Ok, heres what I know about the bose system...

1. The speakers are 1ohm, as well as the amps, so you either use the bose amps with the bose speakers, or do away with both.

2. The BOSE Head Unit only outputs line level, so you can't run any speakers directly off of the HU.

3. You can buy an adapter to use your stock bose amp/speaker combo, ask around to find one.

4. It seems like I remember something about not being able to use the stock dash trim, theres a catch or something. Try searching for it.
