my friend's got 2 used JL 10w0's plus box and he's willing to sell them to me for $150. Good deal or bad? i'm not looking for "you're going to hear me a mile away" sound. If you do think it's a good deal, what amp should i get?

 

I have 3 JL 10W0's in a PowerWedge box.. The W0's are the first gen models. They don't hit as hard at the W6 or 7 but they'll give you what your looking for. I have a JL 500/1 amp on mines.. A 300 amp should be good enough for your setup though.

It is a good deal on 2 10's with a box. It'll pound as long as you're pushing them right. Go for the 300/1 amp or maybe even the 500/1 if you really wanna push them and consider upgrading the subs later on (you will )

 

It's all in how you wire the subs up. If you go to JL audio's website they have tutorials on there on how to wire up subs.

 

That's a decent deal. For a little more you can get a better setup that is new w/ warranty though. If you want an amp, the best value right now is JBL. For those subs look at the JBL 300.1.
