Changing Bose HU for aftermarket...

In order to install a Pioneer 8400 deck, without installing new speakers (cant afford at this time), can I just get that adapter and put the Pioneer in where the Bose HU was? Wil it sound bad? Any help please

usually bose speakers have amps built directly onto the speaker. so you would have to find an adapter that very closely matches the output of your new unit to the voltage of your old one, if you can find one, it should sound fine, personally i recommend replacing the speakers as well

Anything aftermarket will sound a lot better than the Bose.

Evidently you didn't read that link ajohnsonnefn, because if you did you would have seen that I did replace the Bose HU and it sounded better.

To install an aftermarket HU with the Bose, the easiest way is with the PAC ROEM-NIS2 kit. This is a strictly plug-n-play adaptor.
