New speakers aren't loud as none-BOSE stock?!
New speakers aren't loud as none-BOSE stock?!
I installed new Pioneer 3-way speakers into my Maxima(front only) and found out that stock ones were louder and olmost the same sound and new Pioneer.
Why?
Did I connect them wrong?
Thank you,
Sergey.

2) not all speakers handle the same power rating as others and sometimes aftermarket speakers need more power to shine..
3) turn up your bass on the speakers.. phase your speakers to the front.. then switch from left to right.. if you are getting more bass in the middle.. than on the right or left.. then switch ONE of the speakers negative and positive wires.. repeat process for rear.. if they are in phase.. its ither a) they stock speakers handle the power better or b) the new speakers need more power to sound good

If you have replaced everything, but still have the stock BOSE speakers in the rear, how is that working? Do you still have the amps for the rear speakers? I'm running my rear BOSE speakers off the power of my deck (amps removed). Is this what you are doing too? My BOSE speakers in the rear sound a lot cleaner off my deck than they did previously off of the entire BOSE system. How are you doing it with the stock rears and aftermarket everything else?

When Nissan put thos speakes in the maxima, they KNEW what they were working with in terms of power, efficiency of speakers, and the actual (not nomonal) impedence. All they had to do was use a HU/speaker combo that worked well together. You, on the other hand, are putting a HU and speaker setup together that were NOT designed with each other in mind. It is likely to take some tweaking and tuning to get things all straightened out. In the end, it can definately sound good, you just need to play with it.
My roommate in college had a Pioneer deck w/ infinity fronts and stock (Accord) rears, and I would have sworn from the "bump" (though not the "boom"-or lack thereof) that he had subs. It was all in how the bass and loudness were set. Also, despite the fact that they are not the most musical of speakers, many stock speakers are very efficient. They have to be; just look at how little power most of them see from an OEM deck.
