amp power wire location through firewall

I just threaded my power wire through a hole in the engine compartment, down into the left wheel well (behind the plastic wheel well guard on the inside), then through a large rubber stopper with a wire harness going through it already, into the driver's foot well near where the hood release cable comes through.

Sorry about the long description, but is this going to cause problems running the power wire so close to a wire harness, or since I'm only running a 400W amp will it not make much difference?

I went the same route as Tony and punched 2 holes in that little fold down panel above the brake. big enough for my dual 4 guages, easy too. Just worry about where the hole will come out before you punch it.

Nah, I sense sarcasm, but if not. I'm running 2 pretty fat amps, soundstream 600-4 and 1000-2, about 1300 rms, plenty good. Those 2 10s gobble the power up, but I bet I'll break em soon

Nah, i wasn't being sarcastic. I have a freind with a 0 guage wire, i've never seen it, but he claims it. I was just thinking that maybe one zero guage would be better than 2 4's. But then again, you'd have to split it to run multiple amps, so maybe dual 4s is the best way. i Dont know, i just have one amp on one 4g. Thats all i know, really.

0/2 Guage wire costs more than getting 2 4g kits, that was my thought when I got the duals. That and overkill is much cooler in my book. The kits were on sale, fosgates and I couldn't beat the price. No need for dist blocks either
