Hi,

My stock (non-Bose) radio/tape player in my '96 Max has started to give me problems with reception and the LCD display is now difficult to read. I wish to replace the head unit only, but with something aftermarket (with CD player) that will look close to stock. Most of the units I have seen are protruding from the dash, but I would like the unit to be flush, just like the stock deck.

Has anyone tried to find a stock equivalent CD deck for under $200.

hmm...those are a lot more expensive than I remember.

argh, the 2001 Altimas are just as expensive.
