Audio dumby...need help

Sorry guys, I just don't know to much about the wiring, etc when it comes to the Max. Here is the deal: I want to spend about $1000 to upgrade the system. I wouldn't mind keeping the stock head unit if it didn't distort the speakers badly.

I went to CarToys on Sat and priced a new head unit, new Infinity Kappa's all the way around and two amps and 10' sub. They wanted $3000K for everything

So, I am coming to my Maxima brotheran for help. I have a 2KSE with Bose. I also live in Dallas if anybody knows of good shops there.

I would suggest Memphis for your doors and rear, Premier HU, Class D Amp for your subs(MTX 6500D), Subs don't buy base level. I would do the install myself except. Costing you less than $1000.

Thanks for the info. What should I do with the Bose Sub in the rear deck? Just leave it there and disconnect it? Also, do you know anyone on the .ORG that installs in Dallas for cheap?
