I have been installing my Basslink today, and have come into a couple of snags. What I really need help with is

1) running my power wire through the firewall. I spent way too much time, figuring how I can drill a hole this afternoon, and trying and failing....upon reading posts on the .org, I found info about the hole that is premade near the center of the engine bay, and near the fuel filter, I took the plug out, but I cannot figure out where it comes out. Does it come out behind the center console (which I have already put back in)?

2) The only other question I have is mounting the sub in the trunk, Is it ok to drill near the left-rear quarter pannel? Is that going to promote rust...I live in Maine, and rust is a big problems with our cars.

for the firewall, try this (cuz i can see you know your way around the engine compartment.
take off the front driver wheel. then remove the plastic well cover
Look towards door and you'll see 1 or 2 very large rubber grommets. That's where the wire's gonna go into the cabin. Then look towards the front of the car, just lateral (sorry, i'm in chiro school) of the battery...there's several holes to feed the wire through.
Can you handle it from there?

well....I have gotten through the firewall...yippie, I used the hole behind the fuel filter, shoved a grommet in there, and fed the power wire through. Now I need to know about mounting in the trunk...any suggestions would be great. Thanks for the response
