Never hurts to get a thicker cable. (just ask most women ) Its just one of those things, that bigger is better. Might not make that much of a dif, but every little bit helps, especially with higher wattage....

for speaker wire, 16 gauge is more than enough. Use 8 guage on your amp.

agreed! 16 is enough! although I use 12, just cause I had a roll laying around....

Power wire, well... depeds on if you run other amps as well!

if that is your only amp and your not gonna upgrade, 8 guage power 16 speaker

if you have more then one amp 4 to 0 guage power and then 16 speaker or 12 would be fine, the voltage drop on 150wrms on a speaker wire is probably not even audible

BTW no need to pay for RF riot wire
www.knukonceptz.com is like 1/4th the price and wire is wire in 99.9% of the install cases i've seen it dont matter

How long are the speaker wires going to be??? The longer, the thicker. If you're only going a couple feet(such as mounting the amp to the box) then 16ga should be fine. If you're going over 5ft., I'd suggest 12-13ga minimum.

im running 10 gauge to horns, and a (probably) a pair *per side* of adire audio koda 6.5's in ported kicks...only getting about 50-90 watts each, but i dont like running tiny wire--it matches better at the amp, so i pay a lil more

ill probably run 10 or 8 for 3000 watts to my brahmas
