Bad radio reception with aftermarket headunit?

Bad radio reception with aftermarket headunit?

Anyone have this problem? I have a scosche antenna adapter and everything is plugged in correctly but i all the time lose stations of the city i am in. This sucks!

ANY IDEAS?

there should be a wire marked power antenna on the wiring harness and coming out of the head unit. Make sure that these are connected. I made that mistake when I put my alpine in thinking the antenna cable was all that was needed for reception. I had the same problem as you, but after connecting the wires, much better
If I remember correctly, it might be a blue or a blue w/white stripe colored wire and looks like regular speaker wire.

That is connected! I think?!

THat as far as i know is connected because me antenna goes up and down.???? I am not sure really what the problem is I might check that one again I am totally confused!
