Sound is decent. it will enhance the stock set up. If you are looking to win a Bass competition this is not the one.

sounds great inside the car...but outside, you don't hear much. That's fine with me...don't want the cops harassing me anyways and I don't want people to know I got something in the trunk.
If you search, you'll find a link to 1 member's installation, which I thought was pretty cool

I have one in my trunk near the driverside fenderwall...

I think it is an excellent addition for what I paid for it. (200 I think?)

Anyway, I have an Alpine head unit, so I just crossed 80hz and lower to the Sub and cut the stock speakers. Definately get a lot more out of the stock speakers that way. On a tight budget I definately think it is the way to go.

Course, I don't have to worry about the stock speakers anymore, just picked up some Bostons today...

It is OK. I don't get much output below 40Hz. I guess it's more of a woofer than a subwoofer.

depends on what you're looking for. The basslink probalby puts out more around the 40hz than other subs. The "problem" w/other subs is they're emphasizing higher than 40hz... lots of the songs I listen to don't have much info in the 40 and below range. I find most pop songs hit hard around 80-120hz (this's what gets boosted when you use your radio's bass management.)

I changed my Bass Emphasis to a tight band around 60Hz and this seemed to even everything out a bit. So now, when I turn up my bass I can get the lower band to hit a little harder.

I also crossed 80Hz and below to the Basslink... so it doesn't see 80-120 anyway. Before I did that, it seemed like the mid-bass was overwhelming the rest of the music.
