Single din to double din OEM CD/tape HU ??

Hi guys,

Just a quick question.

I'm thinking about replacing my single-din stock tape player with a Nissan double-din CD/tape unit.

Will I need any additional wire harnesses? Or are the connections from the tape player going to be enough?

Thanks.

as long as both are not bose, then you're cool. If you want pics, I can show you. I took out my standard tape/radio and put a 6cd/radio dbl din from a 2001 Altima and put it into my 97 Maxima GXE (no power antenna). The only thing I needed was an antenna adaptor (2001 altima did not have diversity antenna...my 97 Max GXE did). Other than that, it's all good.

I also took the standard tape/radio out of my gf's 95 Altima SE with power antenna and installed a dbl-din 6cd/radio from a 2001 Xterra and it works great. I had to link the 12v to the antenna trigger tho, to get the altima's antenna to raise if the radio was on (stays up w/cd playing).
