I have a non-Bose 2003 SE. What is the speaker size and depth for the front and rear door speakers in my 2003 (same as 2002)? I've seen both 6 1/2" and 6 3/4" diameter listed as fitting. Also, the OEM speakers are mounted on / attached to what look like 1" spacer rings. If I replace the speakers do I need 1" spacers to provide clearance for the speaker magnet or can I remove the spacer and mount directly to the metal door frame? Magnet/window glass clearance might be an issue in this case.

Any suggestions on reasonably-priced (<$100/pair) speakers? Should I replace the tweeters as well and how much room is there in that 'A' pillar tweeter hole?
