Best Box for 2 12's????
I have two 12 MA audo Subs and a 1200watt Ma Audio amp.
I don't think its hitting as hard as it should be what is the best bandpass box to use for 2 12's.
I want people to hear me around the block

If I were you I would build my own box.. That way you can tune it to your liking.. But if you don't want to go through that hassle, order one of these http://www.subzoneusa.com/12_inch_duals.htm they are well built and very sturdy.. you can get them on www.thezeb.com for a fairly good deal.. Peace

i would say ditch the bandpass box and go for a sealed box. you get
much toghter bass that way. bandpass boxes are great for suv's but
arent that good in trunks.

Just to note, you will lose SLP when going to a sealed enclosure given the same wattage (although people say it's "tighter" and get's more low end). If your goal is LOUD, stick with a ported or bandpass enclosure.

spta97 is correct. sealed enclosures are loud, but they're better for just getting more precise sounding bass and sound quality. i'd say get a bandpass or ported box, but i can't recommend getting a bandpass box. they're nice, but you've gotta be very specific on the measurements for every individual sub. that's why i suggest ported. get out your tech manual and shop away though. ported boxes are also tuned to a specific frequency as well. i'm probably gonna go with a sealed box for my infinity perfects, but, i wanted a ported box. the other disadvantage of a ported box is that under the frequency they're ported at (i.e. 40 hz), you start to lose control of your woofer. basically, the woofer, in a sense, can't really be as easily controlled under what a ported box is tuned for while it's a ported box. they do however respond much louder to what the box is tuned for. again, check the manual for your subs, or dl one online and check out what dimensions are recommended for enclosures on your subs. it's a surefire way to get the best quality sound! good luck!
