Ma Audio

Is Ma Audio MA650C any good? Compared to infinity reference and lower end components?

MA Audio is formerly Mobile Authority. They wre known as pure crap to put it simple. They changed their name in the hopes of bringing up sales. It did not work too well. To make it simple.....they are still crap. Rated right up their with Pyramid/Legacy/etc...

Yeah, I love those who just go upon what others say. I'll tell ya what, I have 2 sony 12s (people say that they are crap) and an MA Audio amp (people say it is crap) and I'm running it off my rear channel speakers on my STOCK deck and I have yet to hear one f**kin complaint. The subs are loud as f**k and I listen to all types of music, slow rap, rock, gangster rap, etc. I laugh at the people who have spent 5x more money than I have in dynamatting their car, getting expensive subs and amps, and still my car sounds louder than theirs.

I'm not saying that my car is the loudest, so bigdogjonx get off my back! I know your audio/video system own(s)/(ed) my ***.

I dont want to be misunderstood, I was in no way flaming anyone for having a particular brand. If you are happy with it, then thats great. I was just answering the original question that was posted. Keep in mind though "loud as f**k" does not mean that the quality of the amp is good. In alot of cases other people will pick out sounds/distortion that you cannot hear, these are the people that have been into this seriously for a long time. I myself have been doing it for about 15+ years now.

Don-If you dont mind me asking I have SEVERAL questions about your line of work and how you got into it. I've noticed you are a very respected person throughout the forum. I'm 16 and really want to get into car audio...or car electronic installation in general for possibly a lifetime career. I am REAL curious how you got yourself into it. Is their any special training I need, or is it practice makes perfect ?...any classes I should look at in taking my final year at highschool that might assist me in the knowledge I would need...thanks a lot.

Cory,

Shoot me an email and I can give you plenty of info, the hardest part of this business really is just keeping up with the newer cars. Car manufacturers hate people like me, so they keep trying make things harder...
